Here are a few suggestions to get you started: 5 Days a Stranger: Horror. One of the most highly acclaimed games made with AGS. Won 5 AGS awards. Created by everyones favourite, Yahtzee, off Zero Punctuation and all that. A Tale of Two Kingdoms: Epic fantasy. One of my all-time favourites. Won 4 AGS awards. Even has replay value!  Apprentice 1 Deluxe: Fantasy Comedy. Short. Combined with the original version, won 5 AGS awards. One of only a handful of games to ever be rated 5 cups by the rating panel. Fantastic all around! Awakener: Very short and VERYcute. MY ALL TIME FAVOURITE AGS GAME!!!11!1! More coming... |

mkay. By the way, looking forward to trying Two Kingdoms and Awakener  Ontopic once again: I never feel comfortable battling any of the bosses :C Maybe it's just cause I'm a wimp(I am in most games) but I dunno. It doesn't seem that I have weapons I trust in real battles. D:What would any of you guys suggest to use against one of the bosses? |

Heh, the Eater of Worlds is easy, especially when you have something like a phaseblade. Give it a try.

Yeah, one of the easier weapons to get hold of, since once you've got a nightmare pickaxe, you'll have more meteorite than you'll know what to do with...
Also, my advice to new players: Spend the first part of the game making chests and signs, so that you can store and organize EVERYTHING that you find. You'll want it later, when you start making potions or building metropolises.

The need Demonite and a few scales, I think.
Scales(they have a cooler name, but I forget) are easy enough to find, just summon an eater of worlds, dodge the hell out of it, kill it.
Demonite ore is a little harder to get. You get a little bit from bosses, I think, but mostly you'll have to find it underground.
To find it, I'd suggest digging Hellevators all over the place. What you're looking for is a veeery slightly glowing purpleish stuff, usually found in small chunks in the stony area, I think.
Also: want to get together on a multiplayer server somewhere?

Wrong way round. Killing one boss can get you enough resources to make a Nightmare Pick. Except the Eye of Cthullu, who only drops Demonite Ore. The amount of Demonite found underground is pathetic. |

You mean you're actually going to build an arena?  The only arena I've built is for the Skeletron, besides the harvester for Harpies. You get a little bit from bosses, I think, but mostly you'll have to find it underground.
Wrong way round. After doing some research, yeah I'm wrong. It's just that I've always had about the same amount of Demonite as Gold, because it's so easy to see when spelunking that you can completely strip an area of it and move on without having to do loads of digging. |
