Ok, so I got this for my birthday last month even though I didn't really want it.
Anyhow, what do I do now? I've got pretty much a full set of gold everything plus an enchanted boomerang and miner's helmet. The wiki says that the next level is supposedly "demonite" but I'm still too weak to fight any bosses to get the materials. Going any deeper takes me to lethal lava land, I can't get meteorites to make a lightsaber because I need to kill a boss to get access to purification powder, and UGHHHHH. WHAT DO I DO NEXT?!?!??!?!?!
Gotta love glowing mushroom farming. Cheapest food source ever.

Haha. I hate the retards who think it rips off Minecraft. Just because the two have some similarities does NOT mean one is a ripoff. The whole thing is like saying Call of Duty ripped off Doom.

It doesn't even look like minecraft. It seems more like some kinda 2d rpg with a changeable environment. Minecraft's a huge 3d buildable environment where you build houses while running from skeletons. |

I never thought it was ripping off Minecraft.
I can see they are completely different in gameplay, they just have enough similarities that they remind me of each other. As far as I know, Minecraft is really just a Sandbox games with some extra features, and Terraria is like an RPG where you create weapons and other things for yourself to use in the game.
I shall be playing this tonight though, so I know better. :3

I thought it was fun enough on its own.
Anyway, yesterday was a huge day for terraria progress. Improved my HP from 120 to 180, improved my MP from 40 to 120, got a nice lightsaber-thingy, a gun, and Vilethorn which is like crazy awesome.
PS: Does anyone know what the "illegal gun parts" are? They appeared in the arms dealer's shop at some point, selling for 1 platinum, and then disappeared.

Is it a memory hog like Minecraft?
Edit. Meh. It doesn't run on my main computer. It has the graphics card issue a lot of people are getting. It is fairly old, Mobility Radeon 9000, but still. The nVidia GeForce 5200 or whatever, in my spare laptop works, but it only has 512MB of RAM(in two 256 MB cards) and I'm too lazy to get around to switching RAM Cards since my main laptop with two 512 MB's is on a docking station. So, I guess I'll try it on the newest computer we have, a Dell Studio something, and if that doesn't work, then I guess, I'm waiting even longer to play i until I get 2, 1 GB RAM cards for my laptops. -.-
