Terraria is this awesome game that has not yet been released. I have bound myself to an oath to never buy another game until I get Terraria so I can afford it. Just...watch the trailer.

OMNOMNOM. This looks like a mixture of Spulunky, minecraft, platforming/strategic rpg's and a bunch of other things i'm totally in love with. so yes, eventually I shall definitely possess such a fantastical game. yep. :3

I heard of this a few days ago. It's king of Hype Mountain at the moment.
I don't think I'll buy it because I don't want to support paying for things(soon ALL the indie gamedevs will think they can get away with it) and I don't care quite enough. Either if I can find a pirated version or if it bombs on release and it gets a 2/10 on tigsource so they decide it's not good enough to pay for and make it free, then I'll play it.

Wouldn't you want to get money for something you worked really hard on?

Translation: I'm an entitiled dick who thinks that he deserves everything for free, and does not unterstand the effort of producing a game. Furthermore, people who pirate indie games should be dragged out and shot. These are people's only source of income, and by pirating their games, you depirve them of a sale that is worth much more to them than if they were a large company.

Alright. By making people pay, promises are destroyed and friendships broken. I have personally suffered at the hands of people who did this. Many take it as a sign of not appreciating one's fanbase -- basically, that money means more to them than their fans. And about the argument that people should get a reward for their hard work, I totally agree with that. I like getting rewards too, but for me, seeing the downloads counter increment makes me feel warm and fuzzy enough. Asking for payment would just be too much. I'm off to play my pirated VVVVVV.

Go die in a fucking fire. A game isn't a need. If people want to, I don't know, make a living off game development, is that a fucking crime?
