[NEWS] Multiplayer!

In February, Andy and I spoke at Game Developers Conference, where we announced that we were adding offline multiplayer to the game! Multiplayer was an popular request for the original game, so I was pretty excited about adding it to the Xbox version. If you want to see our slides, I've posted them here, along with a paraphrase of the talk.

Having gotten the single-player portion of the game to a good state, we're now spending some quality time with the multi and I gotta say, it's pretty durn fun! Spelunky "automatically" works very well as a cooperative game, but we're adding some new mechanics to make it even more engaging. Can't wait to show you guys!

First online purchase when i get an xbox, just saying.
anyway, it would be nice if you could add a competitive portion, too, somehow, if you haven't already thought about it.Maybe it could be split screen, where you both start out in one corner of the level, and then you have to do a capture the flag like race to get the flag in the middle of the level back to your spawnpoint. :3
that's something I would definitely look forward to, if you could produce it.
p.s. yes, i sorta got that idea from the picture, but I wasn't clear on what was going on exactly, so i formulated this anyway.

Ok, I was looking at the picture, and i have a couple things to say:

YAY! The female character doesnt have humongous boobs!
