UGH. THEY TOOK FOREVER TO RELEASE THIS OFFICIALLY.
http://www.nintendo.com/3ds
kay, there, go blow your mind out.
i will be there as well.
blowing my mind out at its awesomeness.

EDIT:
Date: March 27. this year.
Price: $24999
So really, it's like buying a wii, completely new videogaming technology, completely worth it (at this time period at the very least)
and eventually, all the other stupid companies will try and copy them with their knockoffs that will only be better because they came out later and had more advanced technology to do so. -______-
but yeah. i think this is totally worth it for this time at least. Grin

Oh well. you can adjust it. if you get a headache from it, turn it down. that's the point of the adjustability.

I have heard that you get headaches from the 3D.

This doesn't work like movies, this is really how your eyes see 3d

the reason moves get 3d that can mess you up is basicly, they make one eye dark, so you the image for the other eye and swich back and forth so fast you can't tell

eyes aren't ment to handle that

but this? this is nothing. they got this covered.

yeah, i dunno. but i know that this 3d will only hurt you if it's all the way up and you play for several hours straight every day for weeks on end. but if anything, it may do just a little more than what an average computer screen would do to your eyes, seeing as the images aren't flicking rapidly, it's all because each eye get;s it's own 240x400 pixel screen (numbers may be a little different, not sure) and this allows the images to be viewed in a 3D-like format.
obviously, i'm not the smartest person about this, but as far as i'm aware, if it starts bothering you, turn the 3D down, or off. that way you don't have that problem anymore.
#biggestreasonformetogetone: analog input.
i think this will add a crapload of awesomeness, and i can't wait for them to make a super smash bros. for it.
the 3d is really just a perk for me. it's not a main reason.
and yes, 3D movies give me headaches -_________-

3d movies work using Polaroids. One eye is covered by them going vertically, the other is horizontally. The two images your eyes get creates the 3d effect.

The old Blue and red glasses worked in the same way, giving your eyes two different pictures to view at once.

At least, that's how I learned it.

You know you can stop preorders and get money back and the dsiXL was out for months before the 3ds was known, so you should of already gotten a pre order a long time ago

EDIT:

oh and, just so you know, gamestop is taking dsiXL's for 100 bucks trade in for a 3ds.
