yeah, I don't usually use it, but I might check it like once every few months unless I have a real reason to check it. I use my AOL more often, just made a new one,my AOL email is My screenname, so easy to remember I suppose(:

I kinda like this. But I would switch Space and sky, since you have to go down, and then finish with desert or something(basically being back on the ground for safety).

Yes, that's a much better idea. Perhaps after reaching the bottom of Sky/Clouds, you slide down a hill, or jump onto a tall tree and climb down, or something like that.

Also, I still think an Ocean/Underwater area would be fun, based on how well it was done in the Mario Bros games.

An area composed of one type of enemy would be pretty boring, yes.

That's why areas have new enemies.

The metal enemies aren't going to be indestructible, they're going to have rather high health though. *Like bats might be 5 instead of 1 and shoppys may have 50+*

You know, you COULD go with just 5 or so health on everything.  Just set it so the whip doesn't strike multiple times.  Look at the way it's handled for the Giant Spider to figure it out.

I like the slower enemies thing. I think I'm going to add 3 new items. on metal enemies, the whip won't do anything, like on yetis. Then I'm going to add like flamesole boots that will do 2 damage to metal, and four to normal. then, a flame whip, *same kinda thing, but 1 on metal, 3 on normal.
and last, a Metal Box. Where it makes you slower*and you won't fly as long, you'll fall faster, not jump as far, and the cape will bring you to a normal fall speed*, but it makes your stronger, *able to damage Metal enemies by normal means[like the whip or jumping]*  and you'll have 1/2 damage resistance*enemies than do 2 is reduced to 1 and the ones that do 1 damage won't hurt you*
Also, yeah, the spelunker will probably have 5 health to start, and the enemies will have probably 5 more health than normal.
Lastly, I think I'm adding the most aggravating enemies to that area. *The Bats, Spiders, Frogs, etc.[and these enemies will do twice the damage as normal if you aren't as metal.
Sound good?

Heheh. To put my suggestions in the form of a TF2 sidegrade:

Metal-Lined Boots
Can harm metal enemies by goomba-stomping.
x2 stomp damage against regular enemies.

-10% running speed.
x2 fall damage.


Magma Whip
Can harm metal enemies.
x3 damage against regular enemies.

50% slower firing speed.

And if they're equippable (such as in YASM) then the downsides shouldn't really matter.

this is how I'll do it I think:
Boots:
Metal: No damage
Spiked Boots:
Metal: 1 damage
Unknown Boot Upgrade:
Metal: 2 Damage
