It's been a looong time.
How have you been?

Aside from Portal 2 jokes (already?), I've been playing this fun yet strange game called Super Crate Box.
The point of the game is to collect as many crates as possible while surviving against three different types of enemies.  When you get a crate, you get another random weapon (different from the one you are already using).  As you play the game, you start unlocking more weapons.  You start the game with a pistol, and in the crates are a second pistol, machine gun, shotgun, and a bazooka.  You can unlock weapons like a grenade launcher and a laser rifle, as well as unlockable characters.
Play the tutorial, and you'll learn a lot more.

Random achievements that aren't in the game:
Clever Girl:  have an enemy drop on your head from the top of the screen.
Well, Can't Do That:  Jump on an enemy.
Never Enuff Dakka:  Unlock the Minigun.
Kill Three Birds With One Sword:  Slice three flying enemies in midair in one attack.
This is Gonna Be Fun:  Unlock the Laser Rifle.
OH GOD:  Die from an enraged large enemy.
Forgetting About Something?:  Kill five enemies with the disk gun, only to die by a disk.
Oh, Bull: keep shooting a big enemy near a crate only to get a disk gun while firing.

I downloaded that yesterday, then started playing Minecraft and totally forgot I had. Tongue

It looks a lot of fun, hopefully my computer will be able to handle it though. It doesn't seem to like simple graphics games for some reason.

I played this while it was still in its developmental stages (is it done now?), it was a lot of fun, but being one of those arcade style high-score games, it didn't last for more than half an hour. I still have it for when I get bored though.

EDIT: Oh yea this looks way more polished than the version I had. I should re-download.

Played enough to unlock the three levels, pretty fun and frustrating at times. At least boxes accumulate to unlock new weapons so it's not a total loss even if you die after just getting one. Feels like a blend of 10800 Zombies, the orginal Mario Bros., and a dash of Super Meat Boy together. I always seem to love really simple pixel art too!

On a side note, any you guys participating in the photo contest? I downloaded the papercraft model, think I might make one of the little green guys too and put 'em near the fireplace or something.
