"Missing the point of the original suggestion" is by no means a bad thing. As it is, there is little incentive to go to the nether except to gather a few materials you may need for a project, and then just high tail it out of there. Or maybe travel.

Seeing as they put so much effort into it, I'm sure the adventure-y nature of the Aether is to give the player some incentive to stay there, instead of just go "hey this is cool" and then leave.

I agree, but I understand the sentiment behind hyperme's post.
Some people are purists, and that's that. It isn't a bad thing.

While most of the Aether is pretty cool guy (eh's up the sky and doesn't afraid of creepers) some of it is redundant. The two trees could easily be rolled into one, and having an item that is the same as a vanilla item is kind of rediculous. The whole Moa thing is also kind of drawn out. I'm also not so hot on the Skyroot tools, except for maybe mining gold which is annoyingly rare compare to it's uses. Maybe I'm overdoing the redundancy thing, but it just annoys me.

Also, the Aether kind of overshadows the Nether, which needs content. I'm mean, this mod shows how terrible the Nether is, and the Aether is meant to sort of be an opposite.

Yeah, I've been watching Captain Sparklez video's for a while now, good stuff!

That's honestly the best computer that I've like heard of someone having that wasn't for big business or a server.

And yeah, his videos seem to be done nicely also, I played for the first time in ages. I found a dungeon, and got like 150 RedStone Dust. I ran out of inventory room though, so i had to find my way back out, which took about an hour XD
