My biggest epic fail at Cave Story ever

This is hilarious.

While I was away, I decided to try to play Cave Story without saving. This is tricky, but I'm good enough at the game and I was only aiming for the Undead Core ending anyway.

I forget what my weapons build was -- I think it was Snake + Blade + Bubbler, my usual weapons build -- but it wasn't important.

After finding one of the rare occasions when I could have five uninterrupted hours of computer games, I started.

Now, it would've been epic fail if I walked into the very first spike I hit, thinking it was part of the background -- Just like the very first time I played -- But this is SO much more FAIL than that.

I pretty much breezed through the game, but I had some safety precautions -- I wouldn't get the last health powerup -- The one the puppy gives you in the plantation -- because it was too dangerous.

Anyway, for some reason I kept with the mimiga mask when I entered the Last Cave. No problem there. Then, I went up to the Balcony and beat the four consecutive boss fights easily.

Now, running away. The falling blocks were no problem -- I had 45HP after all, so it would take more than a few hits.

Now for the EPIC EPIC FAIL:

When sue says to jump as far as you can, I didn't jump far enough -- I didn't know at the time that only touching the left side of the screen counted and that touching the bottom was lethal.

EPIC FAIL SO MUCH.

I don't think I ever knew that could happen either, but you did essentially win already since you weren't going to hell. Funny story though, I can't see how some people can go through hell and everything with 3hp.

Also wow, I still can't beat X so the fact that you died right before the normal ending... AFTER the boss rush... wow... (then again i havent played it legit since x either...)

Are you talking about the "Egg Corridor" or "Egg Corridor?" The first time I'm not sure what could be killing you, maybe those flying guys that shoot kamehaha's?

Bae, the mid-point of the tunnels or whatever right? It helped me to switch up weapons a lot, after missles run out especially. Usually I go between the Sword and Bubbler once he enters his second attack pattern. Lv3 sword is good for stopping those damn circling missles, but Lv2 sword is stronger and better used against the boss itself. That's when you start bubbling the crap out of those missles, all the while keeping an eye out for drops they leave behind.

Are you talking about the "Egg Corridor" or "Egg Corridor?" The first time I'm not sure what could be killing you, maybe those flying guys that shoot kamehaha's?

it must be the first egg corridor. i fall off of the eggs, and something shoots me, and i dont know. I suck at cave story. lol.

You might be getting killed by the red thing on the floor, it's an insta-kill. The little robot cat at the beginning of the Egg Corridor warns you about it. Otherwise I'm not sure, take a video if you can.

Yay! I beat the egg corridor! I need to go to "grasstown" now...

I've been trying to finish using only the Bubbler, but I STILL can't get past the boss rush. It always goes down to level 1 long before the second boss goes down.

I didn't even finish the boss rush at all , just started playing Curly mode instead. It's funny the little changes they made with her mode, since she actually talks and stuff.
