thats why you build on it and make it original, one guy hid the switch in a hole behind a chest
A room full of paintings and a few switches and no on would easily figure out how to open it or whih one was open
this makes me want to make a treasure hunt map for people to download

You could make a pressure plate hooked to a closed door above with redstone, just set lava on the other side of the door.
Currently that would not work in SMP however, redstone and doors are bugged, plus no one takes damage yet. But you could rig it up in single player to test it out.

Nothing flows threw doors at all? you can put doors on the ground to cut threw lava... |
