Spelunky Censored Mod (4 Bae) + New enemy & source!

Here is the mod I made for Bae in exchange for a really cool new enemy!

The mod simply removes the Blood and Alters so young minds (his cousin) won't be exposed to pixelated violence!  Also included is a system for changing starting life and equipment.  Run the game once to create a folder in your working dir called "censored" with a file called golbals.txt.  Then quit and open the file.  Change plife and rope/bomb to any number below 99 and set any of the collectables to 1 to get it from the start or 0 to not.

Source is included!  Use anyway you like!  If you deside to import the enemy to your mod, you need to change basic-> oEnemy -> "collision with player" event.

In the first line change to read: if (abs(other.x-(x+8)) > 32)

It's the cobra that I was working on from Bae's request thread.  Not a huge change.  The snake bits 1 square away from itself if you get close enf.  New animation by bae for the attack.

I'm sure your aware that, in Yu's code, the damsel is called "slave"...  I was abit surprized that Bae didn't mind the girl.  I should take out the 'kissing bouth'...  It seems inocent but it is soo bad!

xD My cousin is eleven I dont think gratuitous Kissing is a horrible horrible thing, and actually, its just his own preferences to not have the blood, its icky to him, and whole sacrifice thing is a whole nother ballpark...

Then again I never did consider the Prostitute aspect of it...

Well at the transition screen they dont get into a car and start bouncing around like GTA so i think we're fine.

I noticed that about the cape / jet pack.  I like it. It was something I wanted when I first played vanilla.  I was thinking about making the cobra bit upward or attempt to dodge when you go to jump on it.. any ideas?

Yes, and there should be colourful inflatables instead of stone blocks.

Oi! Those are both simple graphical changes... If someone makes the sprites I'd be happy to add them in it.  I'll even show you how to sprite if your green to it.

It makes me laugh how you people are scheming over adding additional kid-friendly elements which would make the game... eversion essentially

oh god now i want an eversion mod, im sick...

but what i mean is that it would be a (even with the difficulty drops from the cheat menu) really hard game wrapped up in pretty "kid friendly" packaging

xD all that needed to be done was to have the bloody explosions and cultism taken out of it, if you guys want to make some spelunky kids mode mod go ahead

also the alien still bleeds since its a part of the death animation, though i can fix that

actually I havent even played it, been watching DeceasedCrab's LP, it doesnt look too hard,  challenging, but not too much so, when I said the mod would end up becoming eversion i meant it would be a nice colorful game on the outside but evil to the core on the inside, and spelunky's evil is from it's challenge while eversion's is from it's, well pretty much everything
