This was an idea thrown around a bit on the TIGforums a while back - An unlockable 'endless' mode, where there was no final boss level just endless amounts of normal levels, randomly choosing area styles or even using things from multiple areas. If the way the code is written doesn't make this too difficult to do it could be an extremely good addition to the game Cheesy

I like the idea of having an endless mode as well. Not that I win so often that I NEED endless, but I would be fun to have an online board with an endless ranking as how far down people get

That would be pretty awesome, although my careless mistakes would only probably get me down 4-5 levels, until they would come back and bite me in the ass.

endless levels in a row.

You have to save the girls and stuff like that need the door.

and endless level down would be... hard to do with out lag. very hard. far as I can tell.

The general consensus back then was to have some impending doom like a giant boulder or something to keep you from going back up, and as an excuse to trash the old stuff and reduce lag. But you make a good point with the damsels

There should be a bonus room in the scores section which loads a special version of the game which only loads 'normal' levels without the black market, CoG and hajtget head.

And the normal ghost spawn time starts at 2:30 like normal but drops 5 seconds every level you pass and once the timer reaches 0 seconds for spawn give the ghost a movement speed buff for every level passed after that.

It might be possible to mod the game such that it generates levels of a random type out of the four, always starting with Cave, then never ends until you die. You can get as much Favor as you want, pass through the Black Market repeatedly if you're lucky enough, enter the City of Gold repeatedly, etc. all until you die.

But it needs a bomb and rope limit.

Or spawn more bad guys as you get deeper. A lot more. and traps.

I think after a while, it wouldn't be about skill anymore because you could get every item, and have near limitless bombs and rope. You would have to give another limitation otherwise people will just jetpack+shotgun the whole way through. Maybe the ghost appears sooner? Tongue

Well do it so the ghost starts reaching neer impossible speeds as i said so. That way even with full out running sooner or later hes going to be too fast for you.
