I can't wait for Xbox live Spelunky, but what will calm down my hype is news, but there hasn't been any more news about it for over 2 months! The suspense is killing me! Please, are there ANY updates on XBLA Spelunky's progress? Any?

Based on what he said on face book, he is watching some event all weekend while he works on spelunky. so he is likely working on it right now.

Well, hopefully Derek will update Spelunky World soon. I bet he's working hard on Spelunky XBLA. So maybe I was wrong to make this thread. Still. I hope he does update it soon.

News keeps me satisfied.

Bump: Okay, no one should be able to blame me for losing my patience here. I'm still looking forward to XBLA Spelunky so much, but I'm just losing interest in it over time, every day that it continues without an update.

It's been two and a half months. I know Derek and everyone else are working so hard, but I'm hoping that someone might still be able to spare the short amount of time to just give a quick update?

Hopefully, there will be an update very soon now.

IMO Indie-type projects like this (ergo ones that arent lead by a huge development team) should have some sort of significant update monthly, at least you know its being worked on, but actual updates would be nice.

He's got a lot on his plate, but there is an actual team working on this now (hint, hint) and no reason that individual updates could be shown off. I believe a lot is held back under the assumption that it's "too little" to show maybe. With updates to Cave Story Wii being as little as comparisons between new and old sprites, I don't believe there is such thing as too little.

So Andy, let's see how you improved the tiles, or what a vampire looks like, or anything.

Phlogiston, how about the cave song (sample) or title screen, yeah musics a little harder to show updates for.

Well he's obviously around, he continues to update the front page of TIGS regularly. I was thinking about it earlier, and remember that usually when he made a post here in the past that thread was subsequently assaulted with people vying for his attention. As if the fact he posted there once meant he was there to stay or something. This would turn me away from posting haphazardly, but I think he may also just be holding off until there's some info to give, since likely that's what everyone would start asking if they saw his post anyway.
