Well, the ice border is in the mods array (#6), and it looks like a blue box with an I in it.  The ice blocks, be they blue ground, blue shop floor, ice, or ice push blocks, are all in the solids array (#1).  Like I said, with the special editor version you should have access to all that stuff.

And don't worry about your level being too tedious or anything.  With the new checkpoint system (and my own mid-adventure checkpoints) people will have no trouble clearing the whole thing.

Okay.  But I'm gonna have to burn you at the stake for breaking rule #3.  I'm SERIOUSLY NOT KIDDING about that.

I really don't see how some of these items can be use to get you to new places honstly, and I do see how you could break this with extra items...

Mars, trust me.  I know what I'm doing.  It's true there are some items that the player may not need (see almost every passive item), but I have done my best to either make the item a requirement for progression or make it so inconvenient to do it another way that the player is better off just getting the item in the first place.

This will be much more obvious when you're exploring the hub areas I designed for this.

And what about people backtracking, what well you do to stop people from changing items?

You really don't trust me, do you?

There are very few places where backtracking is possible, or even plausible.  Even if the player recollects an item they already had, they're going to need something specific to reach the next step of the game.  It's divided into 5 areas with a main hub connecting them.  You need specific items to enter new places, as well as to escape from them.  There are some shenanigans the player could try to pull to skip levels or have different item combos, but like I said: I made it extremely inconvenient for them.  And most of it is inconsequential just because of how I set up the very last few levels.  They will not get through without the items I intend.

Me? not trust you, I trust you totaly. It's just that I keep getting stuck on Metroidvania. being able to backtrack is a major part of Metroidvania style gameplay

I know it well be good tho even if it might not be quite metroidvania

Oh, okay.  I'll admit, it doesn't meet all the criteria of a metroidvania as per TV Tropes, but it's enough of one that I think I can call it that safely.  I think.

Stop worrying about semantics and finish up your levels! Grin

I could try the Climbing Gloves or I-Bone Steak, if you don't mind god-awful level design. Just what items will they have?

Also my I have a door that leads to the same level? (for crazyness plans)

You certainly may!  Do you want one or the other, or both?  Also, the level specifics are further down in the OP (I know it's enormous, but they're in there).

You can have whatever you want.  But if I get anything nearly as hard as Bonus Death (or those stupid blocks sinking in lava walls), you'd better believe I'm gonna add checkpoints and nerf the hell out of it.  This ain't an OMG! project.

skeleton "traps " don't work
What?  What's wrong with them?
