I'll design the ninja suit level, if it's not already taken.

I believe the correct title would be TLSRPGMNCM.
Anyway, I might try my hand at this so please put me down as a candidate for spring shoes (#15) and give me a week to present my work. Otherwise, forget about the whole affair as I will be slightly busy but I still would like a level-designing challenge. I've already shared some levels I have (admittedly poorly) created with my brother, who's played through them and given me relevant points on why they are so mediocre!
You really should not have only one person working on a specific task, as having several candidates for each task would increase competition, and that would also mean productivity would see an increase as well!

Um...I don't think this really generated enough interest for that to work. I only brought it here because not enough people were willing to participate at RMN. If more than one person signed up for the same task, it might be different, but it's been tough enough getting any sign ups at all! Anyway, the Spring Shoes are yours to hide.

A question: Do you have to make sure the other person gets it?
My level is based entirely around it,

You must place the Ninja Suit somewhere in your level. Where and when the player gets it is up to you, but they must get it in there somehow. Remember, they'll also have other items they're entering the level with (in your case, the Pistol, Grappling Hook, and Parachute).

Yeah, I've incorporated everything.
I'm ready to post my alpha version of the level, with checkpoints, of course. There's one really hard part, but it's possible. Marginally. And it's near a checkpoint.
Can I send you the file to check whether or not it's okay?

Sure thing! And I got your PM, too. I don't have time to check it out tonight, though, so I'll take a look at it sometime tomorrow. Thank you, by the way!

Okay, the level is complete -- but I just realised it has to be in the ice area! I looked at the level Editor section of the Spelunky Wiki, and well, it seems I have to beat the ice area! So far I have created everything as in the cage area! Does this mean that when I put in an 'I' all the cave blocks are instantly converted to ice?! EDIT (because of common interest) Progress report: The level is complete! Although I might have to do a change to it as the web cannon is presented as an alternative to the climbing gloves for some tricky jumps. Do I have to give it a proper use? By the way, one of them is absolutely required to get to the parachute. The jumps are simply too far away to do otherwise. (A taste) It's a rollercoaster ride; very linear, but hopefully fun all the way through! Has some of my witty remarks inserted as well (look at my signature). This is different -- but not bad. Don't worry, it doesn't bend the rules too much however. Only a couple of things left to do. Oh yeah, and I need an answer to the stuff posted above the progress report. EDIT EDIT Level beaten - everything is working! There is a big riddle about halfway through... it just requires common sense (spoiler). I think the whole thing might be too easy in fact, seeing as a skilled player could beat this in under 45 seconds with the right strategy... FACTS: - There's 6200 calories to be earned! Mostly by common sense!
- Hint: You just need to walk over 'x' and 'y' in a couple of cases. It's really not that hard. And after you walk over x, DON'T DO ANYTHING. Try to guess what that is (after I release the levels)
- You can beat the level with a maximum of 95 HP! It's only slightly harder than beating it with 93/91 HP. If even lower, then you suck (or perhaps are missing a Shift button and have not reconfigured your keyboard) !

Okay, ipwnu1337, you're level is very tricky, but also completely possible, so it's good to go. Though I may have to include something that gives the player a hint on how to reach the exit (even I was stumped for a little while). wall of words
Um...not sure where to start here, so... 1. the level themes are completely optional. It doesn't have to fit the area of the level set in which it's appearing. 2. changing them to I's would turn them into message signs, so no. You can always just use the TLS Editor download I posted to unlock all the editor parts, y'know. 3. you don't need to force the player to use the web cannon if you don't want to. I already set up the hub area so they would need specific items to progress, so design your stage however you want. But don't forget to put in the Spring Shoes. 4. What rules did you 'bend?' 5. I don't know what any of the rest of your post means. Why don't you PM me the level? I call the Hook of Grabbling! Level. Totally!
It's yours to make!

No, hyperme, I happened to add the grabbling hook as a digestive item and the player needs to use it within 30 seconds of acquiring it.
(yes, I kinda figured what you meant)
