Yeah, that's kinda true... 35,500 is a pretty impressive score to beat, and would have been awesome before Eugee came in and shattered it. Perhaps we could do a "pro" tier and a "mortal" tier? I think it's pretty cool this caught on a little cause it was always fun little game I'd play with myself, and it's cool to see it turn into a real little meta-game.

agreed. that would be waaaaaaaaaaay better. annoying talking: do you guys remember how bad at spelunky I was when i first came to mossmouth? :-\well I got a score (and pic, but since it's not the best score, I didn't add it) of 31800!  I am very happy with myself!  OH MY GOSH!  Uh... so... yeah.  |

Ok, I went ahead and made a Legendary (over 40k) leaderboard and a Mortal (over 30k) leaderboard. Looks like only pp128 is even IN the 30k top 3, so looks like that's what's worth aiming for.

I think that's a good idea too, because with Eguee's score nobody could beat him so appear in the first post (not for glory. Now it's possible to come.
But I've a little problem with the mattock. Sometimes I find one in a snake pit but after three or fours knocks it breaks. So it's a bit annoying because mattock is really useful to have a good score. Why ?

Edit: Daniel, are you considering a time limit on this contest?
And Damsel, you should have screenshooted (?), you'd be third place at least!!

Yeah, sure, make a trophy. I think that would be cool. Platinum for Legendary and then Gold, Silver, Bronze for Mortal? I don't think there really needs to be a time limit. If anyone can ever beat Eugee's score and I'm still getting emails on the post, I'll update it. It's more like a world record kind of thing. People can get stripped of the title if they're beaten. That doesn't crack the mortal top 3. I don't want to maintain 10 scores... pp128 has the top 3 scores over 30k, including #3 is 30,600 which beats your score by 300!
