Qoute from the creator (AKA Derek yu)

Aquaria is by far the most ambitious game I’ve ever worked on. A massive underwater fantasy game that features hand-painted graphics, a beautiful soundtrack, and professional voice acting! Action, adventure, romance - the game also touches on a number of deeper themes, including religion and the idea of creativity, and belonging. Alec Holowka and I spent two years making it, and it has taken us places we never would have imagined, not the least of which was the award stage at the 2007 Game Developer’s Conference, where I got to properly thank my family and friends for all the support they’ve given me!

Need i say more? also

Jeez, what are their problems! People only ever like games with guns anymore. I'm playing the demo and liking it, but I can't seem to figure out how to get past the {Energy Temple}...

It's okay, people who actually like games can try something before dismissing it as "oh that's gay". People who just want a shmup have plenty of stuff to choose from. Ironically, if they played the game for more than a half-hour or so, they might actually find it becomes close to a shooter anyway. *rolleyes really needed here*

I know what you mean, I'm at the part where it becomes a little like a shooter already.

Yeah.I'm stuck at the part where I'm at the Abyss and I find a wooden door with a symbol on it impedeng my progress. My walkthrough says to find Li,but I don't know where he is,so I'm doing a thorought search.Basically,I'm going from the first are to every single one in order and check all unexplored parts in them.Going to be a LOOOONG ride.

I figured out what to do at the energy temple thanks to Youtube, but I keep dying at the boss after it. I figured out what to do there, too, but on my own. I just need to be quicker to avoid his scratch attack.

Launching off the walls is the better way to avoid something, if it's reasonable to do so. Much faster than normal dashing. I don't remember how I got through there anymore though. I don't think I had much trouble though. But I did try to go fight that big watchamadooder before ever having an attack, that was pretty "funny".
