Is there any code on how the enemies generate at least? I'm only aware of the code in the objects>enemies.

Hello. Sorry if I didn't know whether to post this in general or the source subforum but...

I've been looking at the Spelunky code lately and I have many ideas for enemies in the game (about 40 of them). I am an art specialist so I can make sprites no problem, but I'm terrible with code and programming.

Is there a tutorial available on how enemies work or how you can add them? Thanks in advance.

I like this, but now it is coming to the point where having the Spelunky default enemies is awkward. They can easily be replaced with the other Pokemon anyways.

Snake - Ekans
Bat - Zubat
Spider - Spinarak
Frog - Poliwag?
Caveman - Machoke?

I don't think it is such a great idea to have spiders, especially green ones on area 2.

Reason being, the spike pits with the vines in area 2, there were on occasions where green spiders can be seen hanging above these pits, and it is impossible to get around them unarmed without taking damage. I tried throwing rocks at them, but I never managed to hit one, and as soon as I get under their trigger range, I get hit, so it is impossible to jump away as soon as possible. Please find a way to fix this.
