I've mentioned this before but do you think you will be able to make larger levels? Not sure if you've had any epiphanies while further expanding on Frozlunky.

I'll look into that, definitely an interesting idea!
I recall while doing the hybrid glitch if you do it on a "Rushing Waters" level the next level will be longer. (Rushing Waters levels are longer because the final level at the bottom is the height of two levels or so.) From what I understand, when you enter a level, certain flags are NOT-ed, and by performing the hybrid glitch, you NOT those flags twice, so nothing changes at all, and you get cool glitches like longer levels after rising water. Just something to look in to.

Another game I play doesn't allow you to see the source code itself, but it lets you modify the existing functions without seeing the source code (by parenting them) or add your own, set global variables, and pass statements on your own. You load mods simply by executing them from within the game (with a file-path) or placing them in a certain folder.

The game is very mod oriented and this seems to work well. Would it be that hard to add a developer's console and allow players to execute scripts?
3  Games / Spelunky / HD mod support? on: March 16, 2014, 12:50:42 PM
How many people are interested in this? I think it would be a really cool addition. Are there plans for HD mod support?
4  Games / Spelunky Support / Crashes on death/door on: March 12, 2014, 12:15:53 PM
So lately when I play Spelunky it boots up fine and everything but after a few cycles of dying and respawning once I die or go through a door it crashes my computer. I think it's crashing my computer, anyway. It freezes on the screen. (when I die it doesn't even get to the journal part, and when i go in a door the camera remains on the door) Ctrl alt del and ctrl shift esc fail to produce results, the music stops completely. The only way I can get out of the freeze is to hard reboot. Then when I restart and boot Spelunky up again, it starts in windowed mode, but my controls don't change.

Specs:
A10-4600M
7660G + 7730M
8GB RAM
Windows 8 x64

In all of these cases I've been playing with a Logitech F310 controller.

I've been playing in fullscreen 1080p on the Pro HUD.
