Ah, thanks. I'll try it later in XBLA.

My favorite requires either an arrow, climbing gloves or a rope.
Also works if you steal climbing gloves.

The set up:
Toss up a rope right outside the shop.
Or impale your arrow in the wall above the shop entrance
If you have climbing gloves you don't need to do that^

The Heist:
Grab an item and run out the shop. Jump and grab your rope or arrow or the wall.
Wait for shoppy to run out and curbstomp his stupid head. Grab shot gun kill him.

Works really great and all you need is an arrow. And a desire to kill shoppies

How.. how do you do that?! On XLBA?

Ya. I think the news that spelunky is coming to ps3 was all he meant. Disappointing. I wanted a pc release.

Aw, that stinks. It would be cool if this year he would add new areas, dlc, maybe even Spelunky 2! I hope he does  Smiley.

I would like a Spelunky with 4 new areas and new secrets. I think it should be called Spelunky 2. I mean XBLA is more of a remake

Yeah, I guess.

Quote
Why do you think that? Although Derek is probably tired of Spelunky, he never flag out denied the possibility of a sequel. If there is one, I would like the pc graphic style

I don't know about that, I love the XBLA graphics, not because its better but because it is colorful.

Classic? That would be sweet. They really need to make a Spelunky 3. (Spelunky Classic - 1. Spelunky XBLA - 2.)

A challenge worth taking! Here I go!
11  Games / Spelunky / Re: Player DLC suggestions on: May 07, 2013, 09:21:30 PM
Thank ya!

Boat: This would be a new area level (like Mines, Jungle, etc.) in which you would explore a boat out in the real world, you could also find little islands and such! Also, a few new enemies and secret areas; a weapon only for this area.
Shark: Smaller than Ol' Bitey but tougher than a Piranha, this Shark is a fierce foe. You can encounter it inside the Boat area. It's health is that of a Hawk Man and damage is two times the Piranha's damage.
Swift Boots: You would be able to buy these at a shop for the price of (What do y'all think?) Once bought the icon would (It looks like Spring or Spike Boots but instead of spikes or springs this one has wings on the sides.) go up to the top left of the screen. If you hold the [R] trigger and move and then press the [X] button while moving you would dash four blocks and anything within that range (Pots, crates, creatures, etc. Creatures would only lose one heart) will break. A blue and white line would follow the character up to where he/she stopped on the dash.
Mega Bomb (aka Directional Bomb): The bomb is directional, meaning you can make it go to the right, left, down or up. Of course, this sounds like a normal bomb, except it goes three blocks which ever direction you are facing.
Jungle 2: Sounds like your basic second Jungle in the ever-changing caves right? Its not  Shocked. This one is out in the real world! New enemies to encounter, new secret places to be, a weapon only for this area! Introduces clouds and everything in the previous Jungle (except the secret areas.)

It would. Derek did say in december that awesome Spelunky news would be released at the new year. It hasn't yet.

As in, this year?!

This one is for Spelunky XBLA, right? If so, then here I come with the flood of my ideas.

Grappling Hook: A couple of different uses, it would shoot like a rope straight upwards but you would automatically hold on to it as you shoot it, when you climb up you normally climb, but if you use the [R] trigger and climb than you climb up super fast and the rope that you climb starts disappearing as you go above it. You could shoot it at enemies and allies and you would go straight towards them or the other way around.
Lasso: You could throw it at a ally or enemy and then would be wrapped by a rope, you could then go anywhere and drag them around, of coarse they do break free eventually.
Pistol: It would have a faster fire rate than the shotgun but it would be weaker.

Gonna think of more (Me and my brothers LOVE this game! We will come up with ideas quickly, trust me  Wink.)
