Title: Bugs with Yetis
Post by: Manored on January 21, 2010, 02:04:48 PM
these are two bugs regarding yetis I came across in the game:

*Eternal bouncing yeti: Sometimes, throw yetis (so far only seen it happen with dead ones) will become "stuck" in the "boucing off the ground" animation, that is, they keep bouncing forever winhout moving anywhere. Once this happened after I threw a dead yeti against a living one on a narrow corridor: the dead yeti went straigh past the living one without hitting it (perhaps part of this bug) and then got this "boucing forever" bug where he landed. It doesnt seen related to narrow corridores however because I have already seen this happen with a yeti that landed in a large flat area. (aka: only one solid tile next to him, the one bellow)

*Yeti throws you inside wall: This happened with me only once, a yeti near a wall picked me up and threw me, but somehow I just exploded in blood on the wall and died instantly (had 4 lives) rather than bouncing off it like normal. It looked like the death that happens then you teleport to inside an wall, so it would seem the yeti threw me "inside" the wall rather than on it.

Eternal bouncing happens with damsels too

And shopkeepers can throw you in walls too... they're that strong

anything that can throw you can throw you in walls.

but yeah damsels are more likely to be eternaly bouncing even it seems.

Ah, so those must be general bugs for humanoids, not just yetis... only seen then happen with yetis myself =)

Well  I can't seem to get cave man to do it, maybe it has something to do with how heavy they are?

The bouncing thing isn't really a bug y'know. It's just that you've managed to get a yeti on a spring with so little velocity, that he stays there. In fact, you can use this + a kapala to great effect.

Ok if you throw a yeti at A yeti, with no spring the dead or knocked out yetis can throw each other up. no spring needed.

They don't throw each other up, they bounce....

And I thought we were talking about normal ground like MGG said?

I dont mean boucing as in "up and down", he doesnt moves at all, keeps sticked to the ground, except his "boucing animation" is still going.
