Morrowind and Oblivion, MGG you must download/buy those. They are amazing IMO.
By the same people who later made Falllout 3 (which is just a futuristic Oblivion with guns). The construction sets (known as TES CS and the like)  let you edit the game to an amazingly fun degree and are helpful to let even  beginners make mods. The games themselves are action-rpgs of the western variety, the latter (Oblivion, which is number 4 of the series of Elder Scrolls games, Morrowind number 3, the first 2 I haven't played but are supposedly not that bad) being more action-oriented and newbie-friendly. OBSE and OOO are for Oblivion mods.

American McGee's Alice (or as you have it, Alice) is a darker version of Alice returning to Wonderland, where the Queen is a horrible tyrant. It's rather run third person shooter-ish thing (I'm not to good with describing genres) but the controls are a bit off.

You should already be well aware of Nethack and La Mulana. Possibly even Doom Roguelike (or that's what I suspect it to be).

Painkiller is your generic FPS in the style of Serious Sam whereupon you shoot lots of demons swarming in hordes, I beleive. Said to be fun, but I have yet to try it.

Though I suspect you to know most of what I told hope I was of some help MarsGreekGod.

My Desktop is in the Process of being made but Arucard, thats quite a Collection of games there. I'm disappointed in the lack of Dwarf Fortress though.
All those rougelikes and you don't have Dwarf Fortress.

Currently my Desktop is a picture of my Nephew but thats going to be changed.
I'd post it up but its a little personal.

Thank you glennrieck. I already know of morrowind and oblivion, but saddly don't have them as of yet. I have heard good things about fallout, but never played any of them. I have seen mods for morrowind however that I quite liked. I did like the speed run of the game in less then 10 mins.

alice? ah so that what it is. I may look it up.

Nethack, how I suck at that game. But yes I do know of all three games

serious sam? I must say my know how of FPS's are somewhat... lacking to say the least.

Thank you most kindly

Oblivion is worth it if only for the LARGE modding community comtinually making new stuff. The first 2 Fallouts are COMPLETELY different from the third (although I've yet only played 3)

It's worth a buy.  Serious Sam is an FPS where you...well...shoot things. LOTS of things. All attacking at once. I've not the chance to play but that's what I've heard of it.

Hmm.. interesting. I don't think I can really justfe buying a game when I bought 6 over xmis however.

That's a lot of stuff!
Glenn mentioned most of the big stuff on there, but I'll list it from top left to bottom right:
  • Cave Story (obvious)
  • Spelunky
  • Spelunky .99.9 (for testing in the past
  • Sword of the Moon (editor for King's Field)
  • LaMulana
  • Tile Rogue (original Rogue w/ tiles and updated controls)
  • Nethack for Windows
  • Alice (AM's Alice)
  • LaMulana Jukebox (self-explanatory)
  • Trapdoor Below (awesome RL made w/GM)
  • Crawl_tiles (Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup excellent RL)
  • DoomRL
  • Morrowind and Script Extender (for mods)
  • Castlevania RL
  • Crypts of Despair (very simple RL made with GM)
  • Elder Scrolls Construction sets (mod making tools for Morrowind and Oblivion)
  • FEAR (scary shooter :0)
  • Lambda Rogue (larger tile and more RPGish rogue)
  • Oblivion and script extender
  • Painkiller (no-frills shmup)
  • OOD (Other Observations Demo, an RL being made for the TIGS assemblee compo I am currently beta-testing),
  • Call of Cthulhu (win)
  • OOO (is actually the Oblivion mod, but that is the file where I keep everything in)
  • and FOMM is the Fallout Mod Manager.

@Darkness, I actually do have Dwarf Fortress and the 3d visualizers, but these are the RLs I play the most. There is a file with nothing but Roguelikes (about 25) and I am nearly constantly looking for more.  ;D

Call of Cthulhu ?

I wish to know more about this.

(feel free to ask questions about my desktop)

Call of Cthulhu, (by Bethesda makers of Elder Scrolls and Fallout 3) is a first person, not-quite shooter based on HP Lovecraft's short story "Shadow Over Innsmouth". It focuses more on evading detection and running from danger than fighting, the first area you have no weapon whatsoever. You play a detective so the game has more of that feel. Nice and atmospheric, with decent graphics for it's age. I believe it's still downloadable for 20 bucks or less if you're interested.
*sorry, now to return to the topic*
OK, questions about Mars' desktop
1.Is that a pic of you (you knew it was coming right?)
2.what is 930cdfaf9cc5aeb5417274b46f723475dbacfb65.gif an image of?
3.I see some other gmk's there, and makes me wonder, are any of your other games available? Or do you just make them as a learning experience?

2) I would have to check at home.
3)well I would give them but most of them are rather... not done.

I think I heard of it, but I don't plan on buying a Dsi so I don't really follow the Dsi Download stuff.

The thing is, the games pretty good, just got Shafted by the GBA.

The Dudetop. Plain, simple, and efficient. I use Xfire and an app called Lauchy to launch most games/apps I have. Language is Greek, which is pretty bloody hard to find tech support for. I live in England now anyway. Also my playlist(you can see one of the best songs of all time on the bottom right) is almost always running when I use my PC.

I'm willing to bet your interest in cars will go up in a few years. I also didn't know there was a beta of Audacity, how old is that?

Actually, for years, the beta version was stuck at 1.3, but in September 2009 a stable 1.3.9 version was released. Then on December the 1st, a 1.3.10 version was released, effectively putting Audacity back into active development. Awesome. (nightly builds were always available, of course)

Just here with my new desktop, Darkness may be happy to know that I am now hopelessly obsessed with Dwarf Fortress.  :)
This is my world: Zavazushul -The Momentous Realm, it looks really nice which is why I made it a background. Also, the DF up there is using a mod by Shadowlord which changes some of the text to be less messed up, I'm also using a graphics pack for creatures along with it. Looks very nice.  ;D
