This is a quick hack in which each entire game level is drawn in a single screen at 1:1 resolution without scrolling. Move the .exe into your Spelunky folder so it can run.

This of course means there's no frozen region, so insufficiently big rigs might encounter slowdown. I also disclaim responsibility for omniscience-induced brain aneurisms, Waldo's Syndrome, remarkably easier ice levels, monitors insufficiently tall to render the entirety of the boss stage, and refunds for spuriously purchased compasses. Single screen Spelunky is not intended as a substitute for the proper game rules!

Anyway, enjoy.

Nice work! Could you do it for the editor too? I hate scrolling on the editor

Very nice. It also raises a question. Why is the frozen zone necessary at all? I mean version plays just fine (aside from needing a magnifying glass :P) and my PC is far from top of the line.

This is all good except it takes most of the fun out of the game...

And for custom levels, the lives, ropes and bombs come out tiny but the screen is the same...

Really? This version doesn't seem even the slightest bit slower compared to the normal version to you?

If so, then you're computer is definitely NOT "far from top of the line."

Well maybe not "far", but not close either. It's couple years old, and wasn't bleeding edge when I got it or anything. On the other hand, I do also have a laptop which is a few years older and was the cheapest model available at the time... that one has trouble even with normal Spelunky.
