Title: PS3 Controls Issue - bombs/ropes firing accidentally
Post by: superdumbgames on November 27, 2013, 02:49:19 PM
I just recently got Spelunky on PSN and I have been having something happen that I can't imagine was intended.

When I press L2/R2 or the thumbstick buttons, most of my bombs and ropes get used and fly all over. SOMETIMES it'll just be one or two.

It basically renders the game unplayable since accidentally pressing those buttons is inevitable, and since they're such precious resources I often get stuck, or blown up.

Any idea what is going on here? I've tried two different controllers. And there's also no way to remap those buttons through settings.

If necessary, I could send a some captured footage.

Thanks.

Is it possible to change your controller config?

Because the only workaround I can think of is to assign those features to some other buttons.

There isn't an option to remap those buttons in the menu unfortunately.

Do you have any other controllers?

If you do, does the symptom also appear on the other controllers?
