Your Spelunky file should be in a folder named Spelunky. The music folder should be inside this folder along with the exe. Music is loaded externally so it has to stay grouped together with the program. If you don't care about music and are too lazy to fix it just click the ignore or okay button tons of times and the error messages will stop

I had the same thing, just click "Ignore" a ton.

...Or extract the entire zip file like Nathan said.

It requires the DLL file that there, and the sounds folder.

If you don't do these, then the game would throw errors which, if you say "ignore" to all of them, robs you of in game sound effects and music.

Exactly, if for some reason you don't want the music or effects, they can be turned off in-game. No reason to deal with a pain like that every time.

Well, since whenever this problem arises someone mentions it, I'll go ahead;

Also, please be sure you are downloading from the source at

Unzip the contents to wherever you like and it should be good to go, don't play from within the zip file.
