Title: Linux
Post by: Ninja_Zane on December 25, 2010, 03:21:34 AM
I have switched to Ubuntu Linux as my OP system, but Spelunky won't run correctly even with using Wine. Spelunky runs slower then what it should, it won't fill the screen correctly, and there is no sound. I am not super good with computers, so I have came here to see if there is a way to play Spelunky on Ubuntu Linux.

Welcome back, Ninja_zane!  It's good to see some old members back on these forums.

Apparently, newer versions of gamemaker don't function properly on wine, and, unless the gamemaker devs decide to make it compatible, there will never be a permanent fix.  So, sadly, there really isn't a way to fix that problem =\.

Hello, Ninja_Zane. There could be fix of that problem, only partially and not too soon, but some people working in this direction *wink-wink*

Well that sucks that Wine can't play Spelunky anymore.  :(

Does the wink wink mean you are working on a fix or know of someone who is?
